Privacy notice
Everything below concerns what you enter in our project brief form. We never receive datasets, prompts or files, and the form does not accept them. Updated November 7, 2026.
Who is responsible for your details
Expert Data Companies (expertdatacompanies.com) is run by Joe Trewick trading as Grub Leads, which is responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at support@grubleads.com.
Expert Data Companies is an introduction service for buyers of expert data. We do not do the work ourselves. We introduce you to an expert data vendor, which may pay us once a contract is signed.
Data points a brief gives us
When you use the quote form we collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code
- what you tell us about the project, such as field, type of work, size and timing
- your IP address, the page you sent the form from, and the wording you agreed to
Why we use those details
We use your details to pick an expert data vendor that fits your brief. We rely on your consent, which you give when you send the form.
We then contact you to tell you which firm we have found. We only pass your details to that firm after you tell us you are happy for us to. If we cannot find a firm within a reasonable time, we tell you and delete your request.
If you stop part way through the form, we keep what you entered so far for the same purpose, and delete it if the request is not completed.
We do not send you marketing, and we do not sell your details to anyone else.
Which vendors see them, and when
Your details go to:
- the vendor we name to you, and only after you agree
- the companies that host this website and store our records for us, under contracts that protect your data
Retention
We keep your name, phone number, email address and IP address for 12 months, then delete them. We keep a record of the request without those details, so we can count how many requests the site receives.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within 45 days.

Cookies and page statistics
We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies or identify you. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
State privacy rights for US residents
Because vendors can pay us for introductions, some state laws treat handing your contact details to a vendor as selling or sharing them. Refusing takes one email or a visit to our opt-out page, and we keep a dated log of each refusal.
Some states also let you see what we hold, have it fixed or erased, and use those rights without any penalty. We never use brief details to target ads, Minors under 16 should not use the form, and any brief we learn came from one is deleted.
The record of what you agreed to
Telemarketing claims in the US may be filed years later, which is the only reason we hold evidence of consent for five years (phone number, timestamp, IP address, page URL, and the consent sentence shown to you), while names and email addresses still go on the usual schedule.
Who pays this site
This is an introduction service funded by vendors. Vendors may pay us once an introduction becomes a contract. Buyers are never charged.
